(See directions in the newsletter).

Fort Douglas Museum: The renovation continues on the new space which will include the new gift shop and new exhibit space. The gift shop will be moved into its new location during the first or second week in April.

NEW BUSINESS: Jim Z reported that on April 8th a new military academy will be opening in Riverdale. The school will provide classes for grades 9 through 12 and will have a high school ROTC program. A ceremony will be held at 8:00 AM and club military vehicles are welcome. Contact Daryl at 623-205-0205 for more information. He continued to say that on 5/2 – 5/3 there will be a Scout-A-Rama in Logan. Military vehicles are ok. Also contact Daryl at 623-205-0205 for more information.

MVPA club membership discussion: Bill A expressed concerns regarding the amount of control that the MVPA will have over the club. The UMVC has always been an independent autonomous group and he would like to see it remain that way. Greg B felt that the exposure that the national organization would give will help promote the club and will make it easier for prospective new members to find club information. Bill A provided Pete P with information on the MVPA and their requirements for affiliate clubs. (See the requirements in the April newsletter). One suggestion was to have the club join the MVPA for a year and then evaluate the situation at the end of that time.

Additional events: September 5th through the 9th will be the Wendover air show and the American Heritage Festival will be held in Tooele on September 26th through the 28th. Pete will add to the newsletter calendar.
