Call to order: The meeting was called to order at 7:05 by Club President Jimmy Zocchi. Eighteen members were in attendance.

Pledge of allegiance: The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Treasurer’s report: Club Treasurer, George Spargen reported that many people have paid this year’s dues and that the Club’s bank account has been reconciled.

Quartermaster report: Club quartermaster Layne Schoenfeld was not in attendance. Anyone wanting to buy Club merchandise please contact Layne.

Events: Three Club members attended the Military Vehicle Collectors Club of California swap meet that was held in mid April at a KOA Campground in Petaluma California. According to Jimmy Zocchi, the meet was well attended but different from past year’s when it was held in Lodi, CA. The site was surrounded by vineyards with winery’s nearby. On Saturday, the last day of the event a HUEY helicopter flew in and as usual amazed visitors. Next year’s event may not be held in Petaluma.

Upcoming on 17, June will be the Fort Douglas Day event sponsored by the Museum. Club members are encouraged to attend with their vehicles. A sign-up sheet will be available at the May meeting.

On 5 -12 June the CAF will be having an air show in Heber, UT. See the newsletter calendar for specifics.

The Idaho Club will be sponsoring a meet on 25-26 June. Also see the newsletter calendar for specifics.

Meeting topics: Up-coming Club presentations will include 25 May, Museum tour by Bob Voyles; 29 June Club swap meet and Reuel Ipson’s discussion on engine tuning; July topic is open. Jim Peterson would like to do a presentation on the Wendover Air Field but not until January.

Election of Club Directors: The following Club members were elected to the Board: Jimmy Zocchi, President; Bob Boettcher, Vice President; George Spurgen, Treasurer; Dave Barber, Secretary; Layne Schoenfeld, Quartermaster (if he will accept it, he was not in attendance); and Pete Park, Newsletter editor. It was suggested that Pete be reimbursed for newsletter materials. Pete will get with George to discuss.

Adjourn: A motion was made to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 7:35 PM. Next meeting: The next Club meeting will be held on Thursday, 25, May, 7:00 PM at the Ft. Douglas Museum.
