2018 New year welcome

I truly hope that all of you had a very happy holiday season. Every year we are always amazed how hectic and busy everyone is. We complain about the rat race but always it’s the same year after year. We just forget.

The Club Christmas party was a lot of fun. Thirteen people showed up at the Gray Cliff Lodge for the event. Take a look at the photos which follow in this month’s newsletter. A special thanks goes out to Clyde and Lucy Hinderliter and Pete Park for coordinating another successful event.

At the January Club meeting we will have a power point presentation by Jim Petersen, the Director of the Wendover Airfield. He will discuss the history of the airfield, its buildings and the role that it played during WW2. Just as a reminder, Club dues are also due at the January meeting. ($15.00) Take a look at the calendar of events in the newsletter. If anyone knows of an event not listed please let Pete Park know.

Are you are a member of the MVPA (our national organization) and does your membership expire on January 1st? If so, please take the time to renew. If you are not a member, consider joining. You will receive their quarterly magazines Military Motors and Supply Line, both are great sources of information on our hobby. The MVPA has annual conventions where people get together from around the country and internationally. Vehicles are on display. Parts and militaria are readily available. It’s another place to get information on historical military vehicles. If you join the MVPA, please let me know your membership number so that we can add you to our list. See the membership application at the end of this newsletter.

As always, thanks for all of your support.
